| || Our facility was designed with the comfort, safety and health of your dog as our top priority. We cater to owners that do not like the look and feel of a “typical” dog kennel. We are a small facility and have divided the kennel into three separate rooms to keep the feel intimate. In this way, we can monitor your dog’s activity better and be flexible in our approach to their care.|
As you enter the front door, you could be walking into a friend’s home – you will find a living room where we can discuss your dog’s routine and needs. There is a basket of toys waiting and usually a treat! We try our best to set you and your pet at ease immediately.
We have poured seamless epoxy floors throughout the building. They are nonporous and antibacterial; they stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter as we have radiant heat in the kennel area. All kennels, inside and out, are cleaned and disinfected daily to maintain a healthy environment.
Our roomy inside kennels allow for each dog to have privacy from their neighbor to help increase their sense of security. A quick step through a small door will bring your dog to their individual outdoor run where they can lie in the sun and get some fresh air.
Each kennel room has a large ceiling fan and a separate thermostat so we can adjust the temperature for the types of dogs we have at the moment. We also have some private areas with air conditioning for breeds that may struggle in the heat. In the winter months, the outside runs have radiant heat to prevent ice build-up so that the areas can be cleaned properly and there are no injuries from slipping.
We have 3 large, fenced outside play yards where the dogs get to exercise several times daily. The yards have a variety of grass and woods to allow dogs to do what they like best – be dogs! They can sniff, run, play with a stick or just relax outside.
Since most dogs are bathed before they return home, we have a grooming area that can accommodate all sizes. We have a walk-in tub for our larger breeds and a waist high tub for the smaller ones.
The entire facility is on a fire alarm system that rings directly to the local fire department. The kennel building is surrounded by a fence and has a security system as well. The owner, Nancy, lives on the property and there is always someone at the house overnight.
